The American Advertising Federation at the University of Illinois is the nation’s premier student advertising club. Students in AAF Illinois are a part of a national professional organization headquartered in Washington D.C. Boasting itself as “The Unifying Voice for Advertising,” the American Advertising Federation is the glue that binds advertisers, agencies, media companies, local clubs and student groups across the nation. AAF provides students with remarkable opportunities to connect with professionals in the industry.  

AAF Illinois is the largest of the 226 student chapters of the American Advertising Federation. Our students gain valuable experience through professional development activities, industry presentations, networking events, award programs, social events, philanthropic causes, and career conferences. We participate annually in the National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) where students create and pitch a new campaign to a real client.
