Casey Van Duyne | CEO

Pronouns: She/Her

Casey is a senior in Advertising with a minor in Informatics. She likes traveling to other countries, going to music festivals, ethical fashion, and her favorite brand happens to be Glossier. As CEO, she will oversee all operational activities for the largest AAF chapter in the nation and lead 33 Executive Board members, 7 Vice Presidents, and 9 student-run agencies and committees.

Tiffany Leung | President

Pronouns: She/Her

Tiffany is a senior in advertising with a minor in business. Throughout her college experience, AAF has remained one of the most influential communities she belongs to. Tiffany is honored to serve as the president of AAF Illinois. This chapter has provided her with the tools for success and the people and memories that will last way beyond her college years. She's excited to work with every member to implement new initiatives and help make everyone's experience as fulfilling as her own.

Rachael Parker | Chief Intelligence Officer   Rachel is a senior majoring in Advertising and minoring in Public Relations and Political Science. As VP of Community Outreach, she seeks to focus on social marketing directed toward the U of I student body via social good campaigning and creative media outlets. This year, the agency will be tackling issues regarding mental health, and aim to raise awareness of the importance of self love and care. Janet loves to try new places to eat on campus so if you’re looking for a food buddy, then she’s the one to call.

If he was not pursuing a career in advertising he would aim to be a celebrity chef or a high school teacher. With three years of involvement in Midnight Oil, Geno is excited to serve as a mentor to all agency members. His main goal is to create an organic environment that empowers every member to tackle all projects with confidence. Abby Deyhle | Strategy Director for NSAC   Abby is a driven, organized and dependable being fueled by curiosity, passion, and iced coffee. As Strategy Director for the National Student Advertising Competition her main responsibilities include overseeing the strategy division on the NSAC team and finding key insights through research to drive the campaign strategy. She is also a fitness fanatic, DIY and Up-cycling enthusiast, and caffeine addict.  Favorites: Crafting and re-purposing, Barre and Bodypump, and coffee

Vassi Nikolova | VP for OTH   Vassi is a Senior majoring in Advertising with a minor in Global Markets and Society. She began her journey in AAF as a sophomore and was previously a strategist for her teams in OTH. Vassi is not only passionate about the world of advertising and research, but the world in general. She loves to travel and experience different cultures. As the Vice President of OTH, Vassi wants to create an environment where members can come in without prior experience and without knowing anyone in the agency, and leave feeling satisfied and confident in what they’ve learned and the people they’ve met.

Vassi is a Senior majoring in Advertising with a minor in Global Markets and Society. She began her journey in AAF as a sophomore and was previously a strategist for her teams in OTH. Erika Hernandez | Account Director for OTH   Erika is a rising Junior and will be the Account Director for On the House. Erika will be responsible for gathering clients for OTH and being the face of the agency to clients. Erika is a rising Junior and will be the Account Director for On the House. Erika will be responsible for gathering clients for OTH and being the face of the agency to clients. Erika has always been a driven and hardworking individual who believes that hard work always pays off. Erika wants to help underclassman become passionate, driven, and hard workers to prepare them for success in the future.

Tori Portman | Creative Director for OT   Tori is a senior majoring in Advertising. Last spring she was the Creative Director for AbLab and looks forward to mentoring young creatives as Creative Director of On The House. After taking print media classes in high school she fell in love with Adobe Illustrator and is always looking for new and excited things to further her knowledge of the Adobe Suite. Tori Portman | Creative Director for OT

Tori is a senior majoring in Advertising. Last spring she was the Creative Director for AbLab and looks forward to mentoring young creatives as Creative Director of On The House. After taking print media classes in high school she fell in love with Adobe Illustrator and is always looking for new and excited things to further her knowledge of the Adobe Suite. Indira Midha | VP for Pangaea   Indira is a senior studying advertising with a passion for all things diversity and inclusion. As Vice President of Pangaea this year, she will be overseeing all agency operations and client work, as well as working hand-in-hand with the Chief Diversity Officer. Indira spent the summer as an account management and strategy intern at Iris Worldwide’s office in downtown Chicago. In her spare time, Indira runs a blog called “Indira’s Inner Beauty” where she talks about music and empowering women. He will serve as the Account Director for Pangaea, the multicultural agency, and his duties include overseeing clients and client teams. He will also be running the weekly meetings along with the Vice President and Creative Director. Aside from being involved in AAF, Adam is a campus tour guide, a Student Alumni Ambassador, and a choral member. His interests include acting, singing, music production, photography, and traveling. He is looking forward to a great year in AAF!

Erin Nadel | VP for RSVP

Erin is a junior pursuing a degree in Advertising and a minor in Psychology. As Vice President of RSVP, her responsibilities include overseeing agency operations, leading insightful weekly meetings, and creating a collaborative, and inclusive environment for AAF members to learn, make friends, and collect worthwhile experience in experiential marketing. Erin believes life is a journey to be lived, which is why she is so passionate about working with AAF members to create notable events for its members, as well as for RSVP’s clients. Outside of advertising, Erin is an avid foodie who loves running and traveling.

Kate Bruce | Account Director for RSVP

Kate is a Junior majoring in advertising with an interest in account management and she will be RSVP’s Account Director. She will be maintaining client relations and helping the committees along the way. She’s the mom friend that always has snacks with her at all times. She’s terrible at lying; to a fault. She loves baking but dreads doing the dishes. She grew up with no TV and no junk food so she still has a lot of catching up to do.

Jake Cooper

Originally from Buffalo Grove, Illinois, Cooper graduated with a degree in advertising at the University of Illinois before he landed his job at Trisect. Before graduating Cooper played in an alternative pop band called Good Luck Jane, not only performing at the Canopy Club, but even appearing on WGN News and ABC News.
